The following is taken from a recent report on the recofit of an office
tower but may be helpful in your application.

*2.8 Mechanical Air Cleaner/Preheater (Fig. 6): If the problem of street 
pollution persists in entering the fresh air ducts even with the changes 
presently being made, it would be wise to explore the innovative work of Henry 
Dumonceaux at Dexon Canada Manufacturing Corp. @ 272-0562. He has developed  
modular  in-line air cleaners that supply highly filtered and preheated outside 
air to offices using existing ducting, Hepa filters, solid state controls and 
highly efficient blowers. A portable cleaner is also available. For further 
information, please see Attachment # 2.8.
