STUDENT TAKEOVER OF COLUMBIA COLLEGE DEAN'S AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY ASIAN AMERICAN, LATINO, AND BLACK STUDENTS DEMAND ETHNIC STUDIES! As of 12:15 this afternoon, students of color are sitting in the office of Columbia College Dean Austin Quigley in Hamilton Hall, vowing not to leave until their demands for changes in Columbia's curriculum are met. At this moment, Columbia Security is not letting anyone enter the Dean's Office. In solidarity, a candlelight vigil will be held at the Sundial at 7:00pm this evening. Students are demanding -Latino Studies and Asian American Studies -fundamental changes in Columbia's racist Eurocentric "Core Curriculum."
