I have a rig that uses 866As and I have some spare (nicer looking 3B28s) They both use the same base pin arrangement, right? They both have 2.5V 5A filaments, right? 250 mA max current, 1000V DC out, max? So what is the difference, other than perhaps the plate cap style? Most medium power rig designs of the 1960s used such a pot on the driver tube's screen circuit. Almost impossible to find, BUT I found some 5 watt wire wound pots. made by CTS series 026 available from DIGI-KEY for $3.50 each which is phenominally cheap!! I cannot vouch for these as I have not seen them. I have a fellow bringing me one today from a Valiant that he parted out after it was damaged. DIGI-KEY is at (800) 344-4539 I hope that helps you! 73 de AF4K On 16 Aug 97 at 8:05, John Lockhart wrote: > > Bry, > > If you find a source, I'd appreciate a "heads up."
