I'm gonna put my AN/GRC-109 on the air and glowbug me hartley to go with my R-390A. BTW, has anybody heard of using a superegen on the HF bands? I've always heard of using them on UHF/VHF. I can't wait to get on the air :) 73's see yah soon on 80/40... Just an observation with Pauls Glowbugs chat room, you must connect to see if anyone else is on. I've not had any luck myself yet. I guess the ether is more fun... I have updated my web, this time I added QB2/250 data, also known as 813. Perhaps someone has the guts to make a Hartley with this? Keep goin' Jan, SM5GNN

At that time I had no triodes other than a couple of 6CG7's which basically is a 6SN7 in a miniature package. Lacking a good triode I dug out an old 807 and tied the screen to the plate. That's what I ended up testing with. As soon as I got some 6SN7's I continued on with those and kind of forgot about the 807 untill I saw your email. Well, this morning I dug out an 807 again and rigged up a test socket to wire into my 160M Hartley. It works just as well but is certainly more aesthetically pleasing. THought maybe I might even get a bit more power out of it but it's about the same. I may play with the grid resistor and see if I can optimize it. Guess you could do the same with a 6L6 but I would hate wasting my 6L6's on a Hartley. I have too many other things to use them in. Glad you brought up the subject. At least until I get some other triodes I'll at least have a tube with some curves! 73 Eric KA1YRV

It has the test data booklet in it, but no operator's manual. ANybody have a copy of the manual for this ? I would pay copy and postage costs, of course. Thanks, Mark Dittmar AB0CW
