Subject: why audio chokes?

Hi Gang
Guess I mist be stupid or something,
but cant for the life of me figure out
why anyone would want to use a choke
for a det load and coupling in a regen
when good old rc coupling is so easy.
I know all the old schematics used them
or coupling transformers but that was to
conserve b+ for the plate of the det, when 
using batteries.  With a ac power supply I
see no reason not ot use rc coupling.

The screen grid being bypassed in the usual manner.  Look up any "electron
coupled oscillator" circuit in any handbook.  The grid circuit controlling
the frequency and the plate circuit being tuned for maximum output.
You could try about 250 volts on the screen and about 500-750 volts on the
plate for starters.  To run more power, you can increase the screen voltage to
about 350-400 volts and the plate voltage to 1500-2000 volts.
I am presently collecting parts for an "ECO" Hartley that will use a single
860 tetrode.

        Hi gang,

        Looking for a "Marion" meter face and case such as used on the
Viking "Valiant" and "500" meters.  Don't need the meter movement
working, just need the face or face and case only intact.
        Any junkers out there laying around?

Hey gang,

	I need a good hand key to satisfy my CW junkie lifestyle. I've got
a J-38 but I really want a good heavy speed-x hand key. Think thats what
they are called. The arm is around a 1/4 square with a navy knob style.
Can anybody out there help a fellow CW junkie with a nice solid key?
