Subject: WTD: Lamp sockets
Hello Gang!
Looking for some surface mounting, miniature screw base, lamp
sockets. Preferably ceramic/porcelin or bakelite base. The one I have
is made by Bryant Electric, part #G-5206. The ceramic base is about 1" in
diameter with two screw type terminals ond two mounting holes.
I'd like to find about 4-6 of them for a project. Anybody hoarding any
out there in a dusty corner of the junk box?

Subject: 813 tube, xtal osc. tx. update
Hi gang,
The 813 tube is mounted and filament voltage applied.
Nice glow! I am now wiring up the grids.
I'm going to try a pi network in the output. The rest
of the circuit will be like on the 1936 QST back cover.

I am learning alot about tube oscillators.
This is called a grid - plate oscillator design.
I'm expecting about 100 watts output if the crystal
will take it. Hummmm maybe I could PARALLEL two
3.579 crystals.
I have never heard one of these on the air. Have you?
Hope it works. If it does, what shall I call her?

Subject: Hartley or TNT Tube Candidate?
I have acquired several NOS JAN 6080WB tubes. It occurs
to me that these brutes that have been used typically
in voltage regulator circuits in Tektronix scopes, etc.,
are perfect fodder for a husky Hartley, ECO, TNT, or
whatever. Anyone have any experience with these in that
sort of circuit? Any particular caveats?
