I have a Viking II and a D104 with built in pre-amp. The info I have on the Viking says it requires a High Impedance Mic and I think the D104 has an impedance of 5000 ohms. Can I use the D104? 73's Gary KE4VUN

Hello all, I have a friend who wants to sell me his Bird 4350 watt meter, but we have no idea of how much. The 4350 apparently differs from the 43 in that there are no interchangeable plugs for different ranges and frequencies. It is simply 200/2000 with reflected and forward readings. Sounds like a standard shack SWR meter, but higher quality. I searched the web for one for sale, but found none. Any ideas on how much it should be? I had never even heard of the 4350 before this. Thanks, Dave WB7AWK

If is is a dynamic element it MAY be a lower impedance, although the dynamic and crystal elements for my D-104 both worked well with my 32V3 when I had it. Off hand, I'd think that you have a high impedance mic. Any other thoughts from others? Rod, N5HV w5hvv@aeneas.net

In that belief, maybe CQ stood for 'Call to Quarters'. Just a thought. 73, Dan aka kc5gxl
