Subject: FS: Couple of electronics books...
Hello all,
Boy the list has been quiet! Hope there's someone
there to read this!
I make a point to hound the bookstores looking for
books on our topic to rescue from oblivion, passing
them on for what they cost (plus postage). I'm not
out to make money on these.
Here's my latest:
1. Radio Operators License Q&A
6th Edition January 1964 715 pages plus
supplements in back. With original dust
jacket. Very good shape. I paid the
pencil written price of $7.10 which is
exactly the same as the original sale price!
Let's just call it $7 even.
2. Essentials of Electricity and Electronics
Third edition - text book - from 1965
gazillions of formulas and theoretical
discussions of general electronics and
such. $6
3. Mathematics for Electronics
Addison Wesley publishing - text book
Also has gazillions of formulas. Also
has discussions on tube formulas
as well as transistors and the usual
stuff. $6
If you have any interest at all in these, let me know.
Otherwise they'll go in my ever-expanding electronics
library.
Take care all,
73's

Those of you familiar with Mendelson Electronics Co. in
Dayton, OH will laugh when I say I had an hour to kill before
a flight and I went to Mendelsons. This place is huge and full
of every component a person that works with this old gear
could ever want. It would take the better part of a week to just
see everything once.
They have very little test gear, no complete radio gear that I saw,
but if you ever needed a strange connector, resistor, transformer,
tube, tube testers, power supplies, wire, gears, cylinders, pots
or whatever I bet they have it. Finding it will be the challenge, but
their sales folks seem to have a good grasp of where something
should be and sometimes will know if they have it or not.
I met Edward App and he was very knowledgable and helpful.
They have catalogs, web site, e-mail, 800 number and fax, so
there is no reason you cannot communicate with this place. I
strongly recommend a visit to Mendelsons, even if you just have
an hour, just so you will know where they are located for your
next two week vacation. :-)

Catalog #104 is their latest, however it only scratches the surface of
their inventory. Call the 800 number and request the catalog.
