if you want to get rid of bermuda without chemicals, though, you have to 
choke it out.  plant white clover or something you like or can better 
tolerate, and let it shade out the bermuda.  we have some organic 
producers here that have been very successful with this.  white clover 
can stand the summer heat better than some others, but there may be a 
better choice for your area.

one thing  bermuda can't stand is shade.... think about how hard it is to 
get to grow under trees.
