Subject: ALGEA AS A MULCH

     
     
     
     We have a gentleman with a question about use of algae from a farm 
     pond as a mulch.  He has been reading about seaweed as a mulch and 
     soil amendment.  Could algae be used the same as seaweed?  We have 
     information on seaweed but not on pond algae (other than controlling 
     it).  Have there been any studies on the use of algae or its' nutrient 
     content?
