MACAW -- Multiple Alignment Construction and Analysis Workbench The file macawz.exe is a self-extracting archive containing the MACAW executable for 32-bit Windows NT (for Intel-based systems), along with some accessory data files. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS - PC based on the Intel 386 or higher microprocessor (or compatible). - At least 16 MB of RAM - Microsoft Windows NT, version 3.1 or later - A graphical display and mouse supported by Windows - (optionally) a printer supported by Windows INSTRUCTIONS 1. Get the file called macawz.exe in binary mode. 2. Run at the DOS prompt with the -d option to extract. Optionally, you can specify the name of a directory where the extracted files should go. For example: C:\TMP> macawz -d c:\macaw 3. Read the file "readme.txt" that gets extracted 4. Create an icon in the Program Manager, if desired. 5. Run the program. Use the on-line help system for additional information.
