Originally, these files were submitted to this archive by Larry Jewell in compressed format (.SEA for MAC and .ZIP for DOS). Lydia Fish pointed out that the users most likely to have access to the capacity to download large files (400+k) and uncompress them were precisely those users who would have access to the Senate POW/MIA report in printed form via a university library. The users who would most benefit from electronic access to the report would be users who would have fewer resources to transfer the files electronically and who might be limited to 64k transfers. Bowing to this suggestion, I have uncompressed the files and stored them again as ASCII text files. The files should be retrieved in the order they are listed in this directory (01_ackno.txt, 02_summ.txt, etc.); when read in numerical order, the files recreate the document as originally contained in the compressed files. Below is an index to the files themselves: FILENAME DESCRIPTION -------- ----------- 01_ackno.txt Acknowledgments 02_summ.txt Executive Summary (Pt. 1) 03_summ.txt Executive Summary (Pt. 2) 04_summ.txt Executive Summary (Pt. 3) 05_intro.txt Introduction 06_paris.txt Paris Peace Accords (Pt. 1) 07_paris.txt Paris Peace Accords (Pt. 2) 08_paris.txt Paris Peace Accords (Pt. 3) 09_paris.txt Paris Peace Accords (Pt. 4) 10_missi.txt Accounting for Missing Servicemen (Pt. 1) 11_missi.txt Accounting for Missing Servicemen (Pt. 2) 12_intel.txt Intelligence Reports (Pt. 1) 13_intel.txt Intelligence Reports (Pt. 2) 14_intel.txt Intelligence Reports (Pt. 3) 15_intel.txt Intelligence Reports (Pt. 4) 16_govpo.txt Government Policy and Action (Pt. 1) 17_govpo.txt Government Policy and Action (Pt. 2) 18_govpo.txt Government Policy and Action (Pt. 3) 19_govpo.txt Government Policy and Action (Pt. 4) 20_priva.txt Private Efforts (Pt. 1) 21_priva.txt Private Efforts (Pt. 2) 22_priva.txt Private Efforts (Pt. 3) 23_famil.txt Families (Pt. 1) 24_famil.txt Families (Pt. 2) 25_sea_c.txt Southeast Asia Governments Cooperation (Pt. 1) 26_sea_c.txt Southeast Asia Governments Cooperation (Pt. 2) 27_rus_c.txt Coop. of Russia, N.
