MSTOASCI (Converts Metastock files into ASCII files) 1. You need to copy three files, DUMP.EXE, MSTOASCI.EXE and CONVERTA.EXE to the directory that contains the files you want to change. 2. So, at the prompt of the directory that contains your files just type: MSTOASCI 3. This will create: LIST - This file contains the information about your computrac or metastock files. SYMFILE - Which is a list of the ascii files created for you and the number of symbols for which files were created. *.PRN - There will be a file with the extension .PRN for each of the issues in your sub-directory, or more precisely all symbols in the master file of that sub-directory. (NOTE:If there are any errors pertaining to files in this directory, a .PRN file will be created for each error. These can easily be identified by their size, usually a couple hundred bytes.) The .PRN, SYMFILE, and LIST files are stored in a sub-directory called PRNFILES. The files are all space delimited unless you give the command line parameter of <,>, in which case they will be converted to comma delimited. ie: MSTOASCI , All * characters are converted to _ characters in the .PRN file names.
