What is it:
metamail 2.7 is a program which is designed to handle non-text files. The biggest use of metamail is by email programs which use it to display email attachments.

Numerous support tools exist at: ftp://ftp.funet.fi/pub/unix/mail/metamail and ftp://ftp.uu.net/networking/mail/metamail.
