This is the main theater of Rostov called Gorky Theater. Before Warld War II it was the lagrest in Europe but a bomb that Nazy dropped nearby destroied a part of the basement, so Rostovites were forced to reduce the size of the building -- sad but nothing could be done.

This fountain is located by the left side of Gorky Theater, and it has a lo-o-ong history of reconstruction. As far as I remember it took almost 3 years to rebuild all the communications and a pool -- quite understandable in the Soviet times.

This is one of the major hotels of Rostov, Inturist. The name is quite "promising" -- well there was only one "company" that surved at the Soviet times but the infrastructure of it is "more-or-less". The hotel is located on the main street -- Bol'shaia Sadovaia -- remember this name?

That's all for now. Will be more.
