of the Homecoming and 90th Anniversary Celebration of the UNC Herbarium

Thursday, November 12
    Booksigning -- 7 to 9 in the evening, Totten Center Classroom
    We will gather with Dr. Jim Duke, for discussion and booksigning for his new book, The Green Pharmacy.

Saturday, November 14
    Site Tour -- 1 to 2 in the afternoon, North Carolina Botanical Garden
    Join us for a tour of the proposed site for the Herbarium and Botanical Library.

    Open House -- 2 to 4 in the afternoon, 401 Coker Hall
    Dr. Jim Massey and other staff will host an open house at the Herbarium's present quarters.

    Arboretum Tour -- 4 to 5 in the afternoon, Coker Arboretum
    Dr. Peter White and others will lead tours through the historic Arboretum, which turns 100 in 2003.

    Reception -- 5:30 in the afternoon, Banquet Hall, Morehead Planetarium
     A candlelight reception, reminiscences, and a group photo will precede dinner.

    The Celebration -- 7:00 in the evening, also at the Banquet Hall
    A delicious meal, accompanied by music, special guests, recognition of the Herbarium architects,
    and birthday cake will cap the day's events.

Monday, November 16
    Seminar -- 4 to 5 in the afternoon, 201 Coker Hall
    Dr. Bruce Baldwin of the University of California at Berkeley will present a Plant Systematics Seminar.

Continuing -- 8 to 5 Weekdays, 10 to 5 Saturday, 1 to 5 Sunday
    You are welcome to visit an exhibit of Herbarium specimens and related materials in the Totten Center Classroom and to enjoy a walk through the collections and nature trails of the North Carolina Botanical Garden.
