  The OpenGL 3D application programming interface.

  A group for discussion regarding technical and marketing 
  issues surrounding the OpenGL 3D application programming
  interface and its emergence as a multiplatform graphics standard for
  distributed three dimensional graphics. 
  
  This group is for:
  
  1) Technical discussion of the OpenGL API, OpenGL Utility Library,
  and GL/X Wire protocol:  Comparison versus prior releases
  of the GL.  Input concerning desired enhancements or new features.
  
  Programming issues and techniques.  Analysis of implementations
  in different environments (Windows NT, Macintosh OS, Unix..).  Porting
  to OpenGL.  
  
  2) Marketing and Business Issues Analysis: Product plans of OpenGL
  licensees.
  
  Comparison versus other 2D and 3D graphics API's. Performance benchmarks
  and competitive analysis.
