Subj: Unit of Temperature

Hi!

The third sentence of the message tells us, that the temperature
of infinity (or universe or something like that) is 45 (decimal).
This could correlate to the microwave backgroud radiation which is
equivalent to 2.7 K. This gives us a unit of temerature as 0.06 K!

The temperature of Tau ceti itself is given in on one of the
next messages as (decimal) 4937.7 K. That conforms very well to a
G8 star. But the temperature of their home planet will then be
263.5 K or -9.5 dec C. It is a bit to cold for human-like lifeforms.
Perhaps it is only the average temperaure and the Cetis occupy
only a samll part of their planet. Or their bodies don't contain
water. Or ...
