Convert part(s)/all of your lawn to other horticultural uses; i.e.
xeriscape, wildflowers/native plants, permaculture gardens/ecosystems,
food gardens, shade garden, herb garden, expanses of ground cover, facer
shrubs, specimen plants, TREES, background shrubs/hedge. Lots more
interesting, less maintenance, more permanent. Or continus hand weeding
and don't use pesticides; or live with the weeds and overseed your lawn
with a variety of grasses, clover, wildflowers, prostrate ground cover
spreading perennials (ajuga, liriope, mondo grass, periwinkle,
St. John's Wort, creeping thyme, mint, pachysandra. Possibilities abound.
Enjoy your yard, don't wage war with it.
Hope this helps,
