OK. So you and Iver don't accept that. Very well, try this.

WiHW.) YfCf) Wa(:aBfDfYW B.f)W. WaY.iRi)W. WiHiN." D.aLiTWoT Hf("LiY.fH=20

QURAI TOU hUPERWiOU ESFHNWMENAI, KAI EIPAN "MHPOTE APOKENOI TOUS PODAS AUTOU=

EN TWi TAMIEIWi TWi QERINWi"

Here are a few ways this has been translated.

AV

 24When he was gone out, his servants came; and when they saw that, behold,=20
the doors of the parlour were locked, they said, Surely he covereth his feet=
=20
in his summer chamber.

ASV

24Now when he was gone out, his servants came; and they saw, and, behold, th=
e=20
doors of the upper room were locked; and they said, Surely he is covering hi=
s=20
feet in the upper chamber.=20

RSV

 24 When he had gone, the servants came; and when they saw that the doors of=
=20
the roof chamber were locked, they thought, =E2=80=9CHe is only relieving hi=
mself in=20
the closet of the cool chamber.=E2=80=9D

NASV

24 When he had gone out, his servants came and looked, and behold, the door=
s=20
of the roof chamber were locked; and they said, =E2=80=9CHe is only relievin=
g himself=20
in the cool room.=E2=80=9D

TANAK

24After he left, the courtiers returned. When they saw that the doors of the=
=20
upper chamber were locked, they thought, =E2=80=9CHe must be relieving himse=
lf in the=20
cool chamber.=E2=80=9D

It would seem that the newer translations are well aware that there is a=20
euphemism employed here. Sorry to need to disagree with such an authority a=
s=20
Gesenius; however, he's dead wrong.

The Bible, however, is not above using crudities. =20

1 Sam 25.22

AV
22 So and more also do God unto the enemies of David, if I leave of all that=
=20
pertain to him by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.=20

 22God do so unto the enemies of David, and more also, if I leave of all tha=
t=20
pertain to him by the morning light so much as one man-child.

Or perhaps you think that the authors of the biblical books walked around=20
with a nimbus over their head and wouldn't say an inappropriate word even if=
=20
their mouth was full of it?

Another possibility: You believe your wife means precisely what she says=20
when she announces her intent to go "powder" her "nose."
