A. Other Offices of the Local Chapter, listed from greatest to least in rank, shall be selected from among the Executive Board, and shall be defined as:
1. Secretary/Treasurer (And All-Around Spam Fairy). This person shall be responsible for the business affairs of the Local Chapter, in that s/he maintains official records and follows financial matters. This is also the office which would ascend to President of a Chapter in a cirumstance requirng someone fill that seat immediately.
2. Technical Chair (aka Hacking Deity), the technical wizard of the Chapter. This person, although required to come from the Executive Board, must possess the technical knowledge necessary to fulfill their duties as an information resource. The responsibility of designating standards for meeting that requirement, however, shall be left to the Chapter so that these standards may best meet their individual needs. In the case that some member of the General Membership, but not of the Executive Board, is of sufficient desire and ability to hold this chair, and wishes sufficiently to do so, they may (with an approving vote fo the Chapter Executive Board) ascend to this office and occupy a seat on the Executive Board.
3. Social Chair (aka Be-otch!), the person responsible for maintaining a sense of community and socialization within the Chapter.
4. Expansion and Induction Chair (aka the Welcome Wagon Fairy) shall be a member of the Executive Board who oversees the efforts to gain new members of the Chapter, and then oversees their induction into the Chapter. This is the executively appointed person to whom aplications for membership should be given.
B. National Government of GIGO shall not necessarily have such formal offices on the national level. Intead, such duties may be taken on by members of the National Executive Board when deemed necessary, or most timely.
