Bioremediation

A few more names of possible contacts :

A.D. (Tony) Bradshaw of the University of Liverpool, L69 3BX, UK, has
worked on heavy metal tolerance in grasses and revegetation of polluted
sites. He has also worked with revegetation of colliery spoil heaps
and, I believe, of heaps of slate waste.

J.E. Winch, recently retired from Crop Sci. Dept., U. of Guelph,
Ontario, N1G 2W1 (ph (519) 824-4120) has been involved with revegetation
of mine tailings in northern areas of Canada.

Over the past 20-30 years, the city of Swansea, Wales, has made an
impressive job of dealing with heavily-polluted areas, and probably has
built up considerable expertise.

I hope these suggestions are useful.
