Forage Colleagues:

This note is to request your help on an alfalfa question.  A recent  
storm and resulting flooding and soil washing has buried alfalfa  
fields from 2-5 inches deep in silt.  How will alfalfa respond to  
this?  Can completely buried alfalfa come through several inches of  
silt?  Will adventitious roots develop into a strong crown?
