POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: Graduate Research Assistant, Forages (0.5 time), Dr. John Fritz,
Supervisor.
LOCATION: Department of Agronomy
Kansas State University
Manhattan, KS 66506-5501
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Graduate Research Assistant is expected to
pursue an advanced degree in Agronomy, conduct independent research in the
area of forage management, production, or physiology, and work with other
graduate students and research leaders on the forage/range project. In
addition, teaching responsibilities (introductory forage laboratory) may be made
available if desired.
QUALIFICATIONS: B.S. or M.S. degree in Agronomy, Range Science, Biology
or related field. Experience in forage production/management, forage plant
analysis, and field plot technique desirable.
STIPEND AND FEES: The annual stipend is $12,398 for a half time M.S.
candidate and $13,690 for Ph.D. candidates. GRA's are considered residents
and annual tuition and fees range from $1,800 to $3,000 depending on number
of credit hours taken.
