Presumably this is because Roundup has never been previously used as a
herbicide on soybeans so the previous residue level would be extremely
low. I guess the main point is how does the level of roundup (with a
naturally VERY low mammalian toxicity) compare to the presubably
reduced level of other herbicides (many of which are much more toxic
than roundup)???????
