Here is an organization that may be of help to you: International Agricultural Exchange Ass'n
organizes exchanges to foreign countries for Canadian men and women. Some of my past
students have been to Australia and NZ on this program and really enjoyed it. You can find out

i need some contacts for international exchange programs for students 
and post graduates who want to travel and work.  i specifically have a 
request from a student who wants to work in New Zealand on one or more 
farms for 6 to 12 months before she starts her graduate program in 
livestock-forage management.
