Greetings, SANETers, and a very happy, fruitful New Year to all of us!!

If I may ask a little of your time, I would like to make a request for
some information. I am compiling a list of both public and private
organiztions and associations which are involved with the research of
cattle grazing systems using native grasses. The grazing practices of
interest to me could also include various different combinations with
native grasses, e.g. seasonally-based semi-improved and unimproved
pastures, as well as the use of multiple grazer species. I am interested
in a wide range of expertise, including management, integrated systems,
economics, education, advocacy, policy and regulatory. I would like to
restrict my request to those groups geographically located in North,
Central, and South America, including the Caribbean.

The information that I would like to receive includes the following:
1) Name of organization/association/agency
2) Contact person(s)
3) Address
4) Telephone/FAX/email

If you only have partical information to share that is OK too. I intend
to contact the groups later with a comprehensive questionaire.

For your information, I am compiling this list in preparation for a
proposed symposium on sustainable cattle ranching. It will be held in
Florida in 1997, and seeks to organize an international setting to
highlight strategies and research needs for this important aspect of
sustainable agriculture.

I think the way to respond to my request that would work the best is to
send your answer directly to me. I do not want to overwhelm SANET with
the individual responses. I will gladly share this information
plus my other preliminary database to SANET at a later date.

I thank everyone who assists me very, very much...
