 Dear TreeTown:

It has come to my attention the TREE CITY is assisting ETC in putting
together an international resource guide on urban forestry (See below
for a description of all this)

If you would like to suggest organizations to include, please contact

ATTACHMENT: RESOURCE GUIDE ON URBAN AGRICULTURE
The Technical Centre for Rural Co-operation (CTA) is funding a RESOURCE
GUIDE ON URBAN AGRICULTURE under the framework of The Support Group for
Urban Agriculture (SGUA), which is a multi-partner group (IDRC, FAO,
UNDP,
World Bank, etc.).

ETC-NL, the Dutch Resource Centre on Ecology, Technology and Culture has
been entrusted to the production of this guide. TREE CITY Initiative is
assisting ETC with regard to urban forestry.

The Resource Guide will contain detailed information about individuals
and
organisations playing a major role in the promotion of urban and
peri-urban
agriculture and who are important as resource persons and institutions.

If you feel your organisation is sufficiently active and noteworthy in
the
field of
urban forestry to be interested in being included in the resource
guide,
we would strongly recommend to receiving names of persons and
organisations (including postal addresses as well as email and fax
numbers
if available) active in the field of urban forestry and who should be
included in the resource guide.
In a second step you will receive a questionnaire from ETC.

The resource guide will be published on the Internet, most likely in a
searchable form. CTA may publish a paper version as well.

In view of the early planned publication date, TREE CITY would
appreciate
to receive your answer right now.
