 Hi Mary Bedard -

Big thanx to you and to our other reporters who are making TreeTown such
an interesting place to be these days. It's so great how (American)
Christmas rituals are giving rise to such a depth of tree-lore.

I want to answer your question from a programmer's perspective. We'll
have to just live with the peculiar re-puncuations / wrappings and other
formattings that come about from email being passed between not-fully-
compatible softwares and platforms. Your frustrations are shared, but
this is currently a fact of life. Folks, please don't get overly
concerned when your postings get re-ordered while passed along through
the system. We hear you.

A bigger problem occurs when a normal ASCII text message goes through
just fine, but has attached to it a Microsoft Word or other unfriendly
file that takes up alot of space (or 'bandwidth' as they say) ... This
is rough on our digest members, who must scroll through pages of
Martianese to get to the next great posting.

 Hope this helps -
