My understanding of ISO is that it's standards for a process not standards
themselves. That would mean that 3 companies or programs could come up with
completely different specifications all meeting ISO 14000. They may all be
perfectly valid but I don't think that's what most people have in mind.

No one has mentioned Edison Electric Institute's E-Rated Homes program which
also has a loosely defined green component.
