I believe you are referring to propylene glycol, not polyethylene glycol.
Food-grade propylene glycol is available (I understand that the stuff is in
Coka cola--not that that means it's safe). Check in the Yellow Pages in
your area under "Solar" and you might be able to find a supplier. I would
avoid use of ethylene glycol.
