The Healthy House in Toronto, Canada uses slow sand filtration,
activated carbon and UV to purify rain water collected in a cistern for
drinking. You can find this under the CMHC web page at
www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca. They've also listed all the suppliers, designers,
etc. and I am sure they will have some kind of literature regarding the
system. As far as I am aware of, you can also book a free guided tour
of the house (until sometime in April) if you happen to be in the
Toronto area.
I am just delurking for the first time and even though I've joined the
list for only a few days, I've learned a lot.
