1) we have 35 acres located at the junction of Big Cypress Bayou & Black
Cypress Bayou, 13 miles upstream from Caddo Lake, 12 miles downstream from
Lake o' the Pines in deep northeast texas...we have been semi-camping here
since september, (motorhome w/ sleeping porch)
2) we have 1 husband recuperating from 3 very extensive back surgeries with
a recuperating time of 6-18 months...makes great supervisor, but not too
great on physical labor
3) 1 slow moving but energetic wife, who is endeavoring to:
a) get new electric pole set at house site
b) get well drilled, (we currently haul water from closest neighbor 5
miles down
the road)
c) put in garden
d) build chicken & goat pens
e) get foundation laid for strawbale house (strawbales will be
delivered late
june/early july)
f) and so on ad nauseum
we are willing to trade food & shelter, and good company to anyone willing to
help us out...would never ask anyone to do more than i am willing to do...and
am not looking to work for us, but someone to work with us...and would
furnish a small weekly stipend...my efforts have been held up this winter by
RAIN & high water ...we have had water across the road since feb 12, has
started down now though...manage to come and go with interesting system of 2
vehicles & 2 john boats...anyway... if children need to go to school we could
work it out..
basically we have some things and would like to help out someone who
doesn't...and we would all benefit, PLUS the wildlife around us is
astounding, cranes, egrets, beaver, deer, black bear, etc..AND the fishing is
great..
