Download the p53 database and software

There are two versions of the software, a DOS version and a Windows version. For some help deciding what version to take click here.

You will be asked to provide your name and complete postal mailing address in exchange for the password necessary to run the software.

DOS SOFTWARE

If you already have the DOS p53 software and just want to update to the new database, download the following 2 files:

  • Necessary Help File to use the new database update
  • Compressed File 1 of 1 for update of p53 database

    If you don't have anything for p53 for DOS, take the following 3 files:

  • Necessary Help File to use the software
  • Compressed File 1 of 2 to install the entire p53 database
  • Compressed File 2 of 2 to install the entire p53 database

    WINDOWS SOFTWARE

       Warning ! Many big files to download !   

    Users with Windows 3.1 should take 10 files, users with Windows 95 or Windows NT should take 8 files.

    There are many BIG files. If you are coming in via a modem you will need alot of patience; it will take 2-3 hours at 28.8 to capture all the files. Users coming in via a fast direct line will have the files in a jiffy.

    An alternative is to have the files sent by postal mail (not very 90's, however).

    There is a very specific install method, you MUST read the "Necessary Install File" below.

    Note that there is a user manual, USER_MAN.DOC, that will be present after installation. Please print and read this, it is actually useful.

    Everyone should take the following 8 files (7 program files and 1 install file) :

  • NECESSARY Install File
  • Compressed File 1 of 7 for p53
  • Compressed File 2 of 7 for p53
  • Compressed File 3 of 7 for p53
  • Compressed File 4 of 7 for p53
  • Compressed File 5 of 7 for p53
  • Compressed File 6 of 7 for p53
  • Compressed File 7 of 7 for p53

  • Compressed File 1 of 2 - Win32s library
  • Compressed File 2 of 2 - Win32s library
