You might want to try vetiver grass. It has been used in India
and around the world for many years with dramatic results. It
puts down deep roots, is non-invasive and chemical tolerant.

An excellent contact for more information is

Good Luck!

I'm looking for suggestions for types of plants to use in vegetative hedges that
will address soil
erosion and water quality issues on the edges of a sod farm on a river that
feeds into the Ches.
Bay in MD. Some issues include ease of establishment, but yet non-invasive
action on the
sod in the fields.
