Re: TT: Significance of individual trees

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------
'Tis the season to be jolly, so perhaps in connection with individual trees
with significance, one should mention the Glastonbury Thorn. Supposedly
sprung from the staff of Joseph of Arimathea on a visit to England, the
original was cut down in the C17th, but the hawthorn survives from cuttings
of the original. It flowers around Christmas, I believe.
